I wanted to share a few of my tips for choosing the perfect wedding band for you or your partner. Planning a wedding can be a stressful time if you let it. Remember all a wedding needs is two people who love each other and the people who love them! Choosing your wedding band should not be a stressful part of the wedding planning. Whether you choose to purchase online or from a chain store these few simple tips can help make your planning a little less stressful!

Start by setting a budget. You will be wearing these rings to show off to others that someone has stolen your heart, but choosing the perfect ring does not mean you have to sell an organ to be able to afford it.

Set a Budget

It is important to set a budget and keep in mind embellishments like diamonds or engraving will quickly add to the cost. There is no reason to go overboard but remember marriage is forever so your ring should be as well.

Keep your Lifestyle in Mind

You’re going to be wearing this ring everyday so keep your daily routine in mind. If you play sports or an instrument, a slimmer ring with rounded edges may make most sense. If you are always working with your hands, you may want to search for a simple, solid metal ring and avoid stones that can come loose or carvings that can hold dirt. If you wash your hands a lot or constantly use hand sanitizer, keep that in mind. If you are super active, Titanium is the perfect choice for you!

Mix it up – Try Something Different

Don’t panic if you and your partner like different style rings. You could compromise or just be totally different. There is no rule that says you have to be all “matchy – matchy”. The most important thing is to find something that you both love and want to wear every day. Try some rings that are not on your inspiration board, you may be surprised! Don’t rule anything out- do your research and ask questions. Just like with a wedding dress, you may end-up loving something you never thought to consider.

Remember Maintenance

To keep any ring looking great and keeping it clean, there is always maintenance that needs to be done. Ask questions or see if there is a suggested care for the ring you choose.

Getting the correct Size

Most people rarely take off their wedding bands-even though they should. Remember your fingers swell and contract from heat, cold, water retention or weight gain. Get a set of ring sizers and wear them for a few days while going through your normal routine. This will give you a good idea of how your final ring will feel and fit on a daily basis.

Start your Search Early

Although Peacefield Titanium’s build time is short- you should give yourself time to get your sizers ordered and have time to wear them for a few days to get the perfect fit. Also allowing yourself time to consider all the different styles an options available.  If you choose to purchase from a chain store, allow time for the ring to be sized if needed.

There is enough stress with planning a wedding, worrying about your ring does not need to be added to that list!
